Les vainement suicidés

Pas tous vainement.
Des maladies inguérissables que
les médicament ne peuvent plus alléger.
Des coups durs et de la patience
des coups cruels au-delà de la patience
au-delà du bout du précipice
et au-delà.
Il y a des suicidés dans la Grâce justifiante.
Pas tous.
Il y en a qui n’ont pas patienté
jusqu’au tournant de la rue
peut-être le sifflement du bateau
à l’île du naufrage
et peut-être un oiseau gigantesque mythique
qui allait les mener, les déposer légèrement
à l’autre bout de l’abysse
s’ils avaient patienté un jour de plus
probablement une heure.
Les vainement suicidés.

The ones that vainly kill themselves

Not vainly all of them.
Incurable illnesses that now
no medicines can soothe.
Blows and endurance
blows far beyond endurance
beyond the edge of the ravine
and further.
There are those justified that kill themselves.
Not everyone.
There are those too who could not hold
up to the curve of the road
perhaps the whistle of a boat
passing their shipwreck island
and maybe a gigantic mythical bird
that would carry them to the other end of the abyss
and carefully lay them there
if they had held for one more day
an hour perhaps.
The ones that vainly kill themselves.

Els suïcidats en va

No pas tots en va.
Malaties incurables que avui
cap medecina no pot alleujar.
Batzegades i resistència
batzegades més enllà de la paciència
més enllà de la vora del precipici
i més enllà encara.
N’hi ha de suïcidi justificat.
No pas tots.
N’hi ha que no han tingut prou paciència
per esperar tombar la cantonada,
el xiulet del vaixell
a l’illa del naufragi
i potser el gegantí ocell mític
que els hauria portat suaument
a l’altra banda de l’abisme
si haguessin aguantat un dia més
fins i tot una horeta.
Aquells que se suïciden en va.
